Luna is a lovely yet sensitive girl. She is looking for a quiet new home where she has company for most of the day and there is a secure garden to give her a safe space to run around.

She is ball-obsessed and will ignore other dogs in the park if you throw a ball for her. However, without a ball she gets on well with other dogs. She is a bit wary of a couple of breeds due to previous aggressive encounters, but generally she will happily play with others. She wears a harness for walks as she pulls on the lead. Her recall is quite good but she has no awareness of roads so any off-lead walks must be safe from any traffic.

Luna gets excited when visitors come to the house and wants lots of attention. She is the same for strangers when out and about, Luna just loves to be petted. She is good with children and lies on her back to be rubbed. However, she does not like her paws to be touched which is why any children in her new home being older would be ideal.

Luna can be left for a few hours if needs be but she can get quite anxious. Luna is scared of travelling by car, she will tremble even if on your lap. She is not used to travelling by car but our Welfare Officer can give guidance on how to improve this. Luna can also be scared at the vets. She will tolerate being brushed if given treats, but she does not like hard brushes. She has experience of kennels and did not enjoy it at all. Luna is scared of fireworks and very noisy places which is why we are looking for a quiet home for her. She would love a home with a garden where she could play fetch any time.

Despite her quirks, Luna is a very happy dog and loves being around humans, playing fetch (she brings the ball back every time!). She loves her interactive toys. She is a smart, very affectionate girl looking for a loving new home. Please apply for Luna if you think you are the right home for her.
