Jet and Pete are great dogs looking for a home together. They are working dogs and have only been kept in kennels outside. But they are lovely and enjoy human and dog company. Their new home should be able to stimulate Jet and Pete as working dogs and ideally have some experience of working line breeds. Their new home should have a secure garden that is big enough for the two of them to run around and play.

In the photos, Jet is the one with the mark on his nose. As he is 8 years old, he would be covered by our Old Dog Scheme.* They are both lively dogs with lots of energy but very friendly. They are very well socialised with dogs and people. They are great at travelling and have a lot of experience taking long journeys and staying places overnight.

Jet and Pete are trained gun dogs. Pete is a happy boy, he loves gun dog training and food. He can sometimes bark more when excited but is also a very placid dog. He and Jet are both loyal and good natured. Jet is very intelligent and loves working his brain. He also loves working, retrieving especially. Jet’s nickname is Mr Mischief as he likes to pinch things!

They are used to living in kennels outside, but could be taught to live in a house. It would be great for their new home to continue working or training them so they still feel like they have a job. When not focussed on training, they are lovely, fun boys.

Please apply for Jet and Pete if you think you have the perfect home for them.

*OLD DOG SCHEME: Dog Aid Scotland’s Old Dog Scheme covers dogs rehomed at 8 years old or above. This means that we will cover costs for veterinary care for the dog for the remainder of their life within reason. We do not cover costs for routine treatments such as vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. If the dog requires special dietary food we will contribute 50% of the cost. This will alleviate the worry of the financial implications taking an older dog into your home. Older dogs make great pets! Why not consider an older dog?
