Email and Online Enquiries

We will aim to respond to all emails and online enquiries within 24 hours with the exception of weekends. Although virus-checking software is active on Dog Aid Scotland’s emails and any attachments, we do not accept any responsibility for viruses. All information received within emails will be dealt with by Dog Aid Scotland staff only and will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy.

Social Media

All outbound posts on Dog Aid Scotland’s Facebook and Twitter pages are solely the opinion of the author and not that necessarily of Dog Aid Scotland unless otherwise stated. Any offensive posts that any third party applies to either of these accounts will be removed by Dog Aid Scotland without notice, this may also include any contact made between previous and current dog owners which may infringe on Dog Aid Scotland’s confidentiality policy regarding re-homing.

Online Donations

If you wish to request a online donation be refunded to you, please request this within 7 days of the transaction. We will require full details of the transaction and a copy of the digital receipt sent via email. If the request does not comply with the full requirements we regret we cannot fulfil your request.

Complaints

If you wish to raise a complaint about this website, any of our services offered or a service you have received please do so in writing if possible (forms available on request). Please send your complaint marked ‘Private and Confidential’ to:- Chairperson, Dog Aid Scotland, Riccarton Mains Farm, 1B the Cottage, Edinburgh, EH14 3AR.

If you are unable to submit your complaint in writing please call the office on 0300 365 2500 and ask to speak to the Co-ordinator. All complaints will be dealt with confidentially in accordance with Dog Aid Scotland’s Complaints Procedure.

Dog Re-homing

  • Dog Aid Scotland cannot guarantee the temperament of any dog featured on this website however we strive not to re-home dogs who are aggressive.
  • We will not re-home a dog to any person under 18 years of age.
  • Dog Aidf Scotland cannot accept responsibility for the temperament of any dog once it has been re-homed.
  • All dogs are re-homed at our discretion in accordance with our Equal Opportunities Policy. We do however reserve the right to refuse an application to rehome a dog.
