Ryver and Rhudi are girl and boy Frenchies looking for a home together. They are a fun but young and untrained duo so their owner would need to be willing to continue their training (our Welfare Co-ordinator can be on hand for support). They will also need access to a secure garden and would not be suitable to live in a flat as they are sensitive to noise and bark. Ideally, their new owner will have experience with Bulldog breeds.

Ryver: She gets very excited when visitors come over and will jump and may nibble playfully. This behaviour will need to be worked on in her new home. She is also very playful with other dogs, she is very interested in them. Ryver is fine to be left alone for a few hours, and does not seem to have separation anxiety. She can bark at unfamiliar sounds, she is scared of loud noises such as wheelie bins and she is anxious around busy roads. She is getting used to travelling by car and can be a bit anxious at first but will then calm down. On walks, Ryver wears a harness and pulls on the lead, her recall is not good. She is very easily distracted and just wants to play with every dog she sees. This is another area where Ryver will require training. She likes being washed and brushed. She loves playing with a ball inside or in the garden. Ryver is very affectionate and loves cuddling up on the sofa.

Rhudi (blue and tan): Rhudi also gets excited with visitors, he tries to lick them and wants to sit on their knee so he will jump up. He tends to bark at strangers on the street as he is scared and is sometimes the same with strange children. On walks, Rhudi barks at other dogs if being walked by his owner, but can be fine if walked by someone else. He will also bark at cats and try to chase them. This behaviour will need to be worked on. He will pull on his harness lead sometimes but not always, he tends to stay closer than Ryver as he is not so interested in what else is going on. He seems to be quite protective. His recall is better than Ryver’s but he can also get distracted by his surroundings. In enclosed areas, Rhudi loves to play fetch with a ball and will drop it and wait for you to throw the ball again. He does not mind being washed and brushed, but prefers a bath to a shower. Rhudi also does not seem to have separation anxiety and can be left with Ryver for a few hours. He will also bark at unfamiliar sounds and is scared of the hoover. He is getting better at travelling by car as well. Like Ryver, Rhudi loves playing with toys and getting attention.

Ryver and Rhudi are fun-loving, affectionate dogs that enjoy playing with toys, having a run around and being made a fuss of. Ryver loves to play with other dogs and is more social, but Rhudi is more interested in humans and wants to be your shadow. Both can be a bit scared of things such as loud noises, but Rhudi is more sensitive when it comes to other dogs and strange surroundings. They are both still young and will need their training to be continued in their new home but they have a lot of love to give.

If you think you have room and time for Ryver and Rhudi, please apply.
