Trevor is looking for a new home where there are no other dogs in the house or very close-by. He would love a big enough garden to play and relax in. It would be great if the new home has experience of dog-reactive dogs. He cannot live in a flat. Trevor is dog-reactive so a rural home would be ideal, he currently lives in a busy area which is too stressful for him.

Trevor is very happy to welcome visitors to the home. He loves getting attention and does not tend to jump or bark. He is happy meeting strangers outside too and loves humans; he is good with children too. Trevor would love company throughout the day as he is used to being with his current owner while they work from home.

Trevor has become reactive to other dogs, especially smaller breeds and when he is on the lead. This behaviour is fear-based; he is okay and will play with dogs he already knows well. Trevor wears a harness on walks as he pulls on the lead. It would be great if his new home could further his training. Trevor is normally kept on the lead for walks, although his recall is quite good. But in the countryside or on remote walks Trevor enjoys his freedom, if there are no other dogs around. Trevor is great in the car, perfect for going on adventures away from busy areas. He loves swimming for his ball or stick and walking in open and quiet areas.

Trevor can be left for several hours and does not seem to have separation anxiety. He is used to having an enclosed garden to relax, play or lie in the sun. He is fine with being bathed and gets treats while being brushed. Surprise, surprise – Trevor is ruled by his stomach! He enjoys food games with treats or licky mats. He will be your shadow in the kitchen and watch you cook and do the dishwasher.

Trevor can be excitable and ready to play but also cuddly and could snooze at any time. He is a typical Labrador in this way, he certainly loves being part of a family unit. It is only his dog re-activity that is an issue.

Trevor is very fun, kind and gentle with humans. He loves cuddles, belly rubs and napping on the sofa, with or without you.

If you think you can give Trevor the peaceful home he needs, please apply for him.
