Yoru is looking for a home with experience of dogs, ideally the Pointer breed or similar. He would love a garden to relax in, go for long walks and would love to learn scentwork – he has a great nose! He would prefer his new home to give him company most of the time – Yoru may show separation anxiety in his new home, but our Welfare Team would be available to give support.

Yoru is friendly but can be nervous of other people and dogs. He may struggle with social cues from other dogs but he is not aggressive. He would love to socialise with other dogs on a more regular basis. Yoru will pull on the lead, especially at the start of a walk, but walks well off-lead in safe areas and his recall is very good.

Yoru is anxious when he travels in a car or on public transport, he will whine. Yoru can be anxious in the waiting room of the vets but ends up loving the attention from them. He does not bark often. He will tolerate a bath and being brushed. Yoru has been to the groomers before and was well-behaved. Yoru is scared of balloons and sometimes small dogs and he does not like cats.

Yoru is happiest when he is playing fetch and loves to swim. He is very active and bubbly when he is outside, he loves it. Yoru can be silly and goofy but also likes to snuggle up to you while inside and have a calm moment; he can be really empathetic.  He is a smart boy with a good nose and would love to do some scentwork with his new home.

Please apply for Yoru if you have the active and experienced home for him.
