Lovely Ziggy is looking for a new home with German Shepherd experience and a garden he can relax and play in. He would love company through the day. Ziggy must continue his training in his new home and he enjoys doing things such as hikes and playing with balls – he is very ball-focussed.
Ziggy is very friendly with people and does not bark much at all for a German Shepherd, he does not jump up either. Ziggy seems fine with children. He would not mind living with another calm dog, ideally a female.
Ziggy can be left for a few hours and has been fine at the vets, he does not get nervous. He travels well in the car. Ziggy is happy to be washed and brushed. He has not been to the groomer or boarding kennels before.
Ziggy is very playful with other dogs and is not reactive. But if he is out playing with a ball, he is very driven by it and will ignore everything else. He might chase cats, squirrels and birds on walks. Ziggy can be okay on the lead but will pull, he needs to continue his training. He can be good off the lead with good recall, but this would need to be re-established in his new environment.
Ziggy is clever and would enjoy continuing with his training and learning new things. He already knows how to sit, down, stay (can hold for a long time), come through (legs), back (to walk backwards) and spin.
Ziggy is happiest being out with his ball and playing fetch. When not going ball-mad, he loves a good walk in the countryside, fields, woodlands or beach – he is a very good swimmer.
Please apply for Ziggy if you have German Shepherd experience and can love and guide this young boy to be the best dog.
