Christmas Raffle and Brochure 2022

Christmas Raffle
Yes, can you believe it’s Christmas Raffle time already?! All profits from the DAS raffle will go to our Veterinary Aid Scheme which helps owners on low income with an unexpected veterinary bill. As of August this year, DAS has helped 102 dogs at the cost of £25,300 receive care they may not have got otherwise. This is compared to 98 dogs at a cost of £24,813 in 2021, meaning the Scheme has already surpassed the 2021 record only 8 months into the year. This is due to the rising cost of living, the coronavirus pandemic, veterinary costs increasing and more owners applying to the Scheme.

We understand many owners in Scotland are currently facing a huge challenge to afford their dog’s veterinary care. Out of the 11 dogs we currently support on a monthly basis through this Scheme, one is Sasha. She is a 9-year old Cavalier King Charles who suffers from heart and kidney disease. We help towards the monthly cost of Sasha’s medication after her owner applied to DAS for support as she could not afford the medication or would go into serious debt otherwise. Sasha is a very loving and relaxed dog, she’s perfectly happy having a cuddle or belly rubs and being with everyone, humans and other dogs. She likes to hide from loud noises and will come out when they stop. Due to her condition, she has a very clean diet of fruit and vegetables; her favourites are carrots and apple slices.

Please support us to continue to help dogs like Sasha get the medical care they need by donating or buying raffle tickets, if you can. You and your friends could have a chance of winning some great prizes –

Raffle Prizes include: £100 M&S Voucher £50 Pets at Home Voucher 2 x £25 Amazon Vouchers Luxury Dog Hamper Dog Photoshoot Training Session and other prizes…

Raffle tickets are 50p for one or £2.50 for a book. Winning tickets will be drawn on 9th December 2022.
