Rocco is a sweet boy looking for a new home through no fault of his own. We are looking for a home that has sighthound experience. Rocco would love a quiet country home where he has company for most of the day and a secure garden to run around.
Rocco is not happy around some dogs as he has been attacked in past. He is nervous around others and can growl and bark. Caution and patience should be taken when introducing Rocco to any dogs. He wears a muzzle on walks. He does not like loud noises or fireworks which is why he would be happiest in the countryside. Also, he can either be wary of young children approaching him without warning or quite jumpy when greeting them so we would advise any children in Rocco’s new home be aged 10 and over. Otherwise, he is good with children.
Rocco is house-trained and can do ‘sit’, ‘paw’ and sometimes ‘lie down’. But he has no recall and has not been let off the lead on walks before. Rocco needs further training, specifically with his recall, and his new home should be happy to put in the time to train Rocco.
Rocco can be left for a few hours, but he is good in the car and loves an adventure. Rocco can be wary when meeting new people at first but then he is fine. His new owners should have the patience to give Rocco time to become comfortable in situations. Rocco is happiest when he is running free and playing with his toys in the garden.
Do you think you have the perfect quiet and loving home for sweet Rocco? If yes, please apply above.
